Check VPN Settings

The ‘App not found’ error can occur if it is detected that the Fire TV Stick is being used in a different country than where the app is supported.

If you have any type of VPN configuration or any other type of setup that can make your internet connection appear to be from a different country, this may cause this error to occur for some apps.

Try disabling any VPNs or other apps that can change your IP address and see if this resolves the error.

Deregister Then Reregister

If you have attempted to update the App & disabled your VPN and you are still getting the “App not found” error, then you will need to deregister your Fire TV Stick and reregister it.

To do this, follow the steps in my recent article How to unregister a Fire TV Stick?.

Soft Reset Your Fire TV Stick

If de-registering & re-registering doesn’t resolve the issue, try soft resetting your Fire TV Stick by unplugging it from the power source and then plugging it back in.

This will usually reboot the device and fix any minor issues that may be causing the App not found error.

These are the most common solutions for fixing the Fire TV Stick App not found issue.

Summary

The Fire TV Stick “App not found” error can be a frustrating issue to deal with, but it is usually easy to fix. The first step is to check for an app update manually from the settings menu.
